Ali Alriyahi from Jordan sat down with us to share his experience while taking his Global MBA, specialising in project management, online with London School of Business & Finance.
My name’s Ali Alriyahi, I’m 27 years old, and I come all the way from Jordan. I decided to take my MBA because I wanted to expand my personal business. I have high goals, and I believed this is one of the paths I should take.
Well, the content on the course was very interesting. It went all the way from leadership modules to marketing and advertising. If you’re a business owner and you want to go into business, you should go through your business from A to Z, so that’s basically what I did, and that’s what this programme gave me. All the modules helped me go through the obstacles I had throughout my way in business
At the beginning, you’re a bit scared. You’re not familiar with the online platform and all that, but the advice from me is just ask and the tutors will make you feel comfortable and answer all your questions. The support was great. As soon as you have an enquiry or ask a question, they’re all there for your support. Try to talk, chat, with other students, with tutors. That will make you feel comfortable and move you from uncertainty to a comfortable zone, and that’s where you want to be.
A lot of people wish that they had a master’s degree, but they don’t because they have jobs and they have responsibilities that they need to fulfil. Studying online, you lack the human interface, human interaction. But, it has a lot of advantages. You don’t have to quit your job and go studying. You can make money whilst studying. That combination I think is the key that everyone is looking for. If you have a mix of both, you can work and study at the same time. That’s the key.
